Private Message App - Konnexu Community Builder
The private message app provides a way for your members to stay in touch with each other via in site messages complete with inbox, sent mail, archives.
Private Message Settings
Message Stamp
Sets the date and time format that shows for messages. Default is MMM d, h:mm a . There are allowed formats which we will list after
the explanation of the formats.
Explanation of the format:
| Timestamp | Description |
|---|---|
| MMM | Abbreviated month (e.g., Jan, Feb, Mar, etc.) |
| d | Day of the month (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.) |
| h | Hour in 12-hour format (e.g., 1, 2, ..., 12) |
| mm | Minutes (e.g., 00, 01, 02, ..., 59) |
| a | AM or PM designation |
| EEEE | Represents the full name of the day of the week (e.g., "Monday", "Tuesday"). |
| hh | Represents the hour in a 12-hour format, ranging from 01 to 12. |
| HH | Represents the hour, ranging from 00 to 23 in a 24-hour format. |
| ss | Represents seconds, ranging from 00 to 59. |
| 'T' | A literal character 'T' that acts as a separator between the date and time components. |

User Group Settings
Can add attachment to message?
This setting enables/disables the ability for members to send attachments with their private messages.
Restrict message to friends
When disabled, the user group will be able to message any member. This is handy for admin, staff, moderators.
Flood control
This setting helps you control how many message users are sending, per user group. When set, users in the user group will be restricted to sending the number of messages per minute/hour/day. This can be good to use for a banned user group and set it at 0 to cool off a members who may be causing trouble.
Message Storage Limit
This sets the total number of messages that can be stored.
