Security Settings
User security is always an important factor for any website. The security settings as of this writing are 2FA and a setting to hide the "remember me" checkbox for log in as it some prefer to disable it for security reasons.
In order to set security settings, you'll need to be logged in to your ACP.
Navigate to Settings › Security.
Enabling 2FA
2FA (two-factor authentication) enables a security setting for members logging in. They can set this setting in their account settings if you enable it. This will send a code to their email when logging in.
- Click the toggle to the right of Enable 2FA login security to enable or disable 2FA.
- Once done, click the Save Changes button in the bottom right.
Remove "Remember Me" from login?
The Remember Me option keeps members signed in for easier access, but it can also create a security risk. If a device is lost, shared, or compromised, someone may be able to access an account without needing the password again.
Disabling Remember Me requires members to sign in again after their session expires, helping reduce the risk of unauthorized account access.
For communities where security or privacy is especially important, disabling this option may be a good choice.
- Click the toggle to the right of Remove Remember Me from login to hide or show the Remember Me for log in forms.
- Once done, click the Save Changes button in the bottom right.
